Title:Feasibility study for a microfinance bank

Location:Remote

Job Description

I am looking for a very experienced consultant to assist me in putting together a feasibility study for the establishment of a Microfinance Bank. Data has been collected from the field, and the project is half completed. The project needs someone that can pull things together as a project document. The project sponsor has experience in this area, but very busy on other projects at the moment. It is important that those that are bidding for this project have the ability to put this together. I will provide technical input. This is the 2nd time that I am advertising this. I need someone that has real experience in preparing feasibility studies.

I am interested in this, having done some work on microfinance in the past, but need to have a lot more information before I could consider putting in a bid. So some basic questions:

1. What area of microfinance are you looking at? For instance seed finance for women starting agricultural projects in the third world, or small transactions on mobile phones, both of which class as microfinance but are very different market areas.

2. Is there a technology aspect to the feasibility study? If so what area of expertise is required?

3. My own experience in putting together studies of this type indicates that it is rare that a single individual can do a complete job. Would you consider bids from a consortium lead by a single individual? This would be the basis on which I would want to bid if I decide to bid.
