Thanks for your email.

I'm sending you further information for you to review so you know exactly what I need.

The current website can be found at: www.digisocial.co.uk

Changes requested are as follows.

1) EDITS TO EXISTING PAGES

a. Home Page
Equalise the space between the three columns on the home page, About This Book, About The Author and Purchase Your Copy.
Please also make these three titles the same size font.

Below the amazon and iBookstore logos, please add a the text ‘Buy the paperback’ and link this to a page which says:
‘Should you wish to buy a paperback edition of the book rather than an ebook, please contact info@lascelleshistory.com for details.’

Delete the buy button on the top right hand corner of the page. I think that button is to buy the templatic theme which I have bought already.

Delete the 'Purchase a copy now' link under the section About the Book.

Delete the white boxes around the facebook and twitter icons and place the twitter icon below the facebook icon. Put same Facebook and twitter icons and accompanying text on the blog page as well.

Please delete the first ‘and’ in the text ‘About the Author’.

In the quote below the book title. 'Just what we all wanted...' delete the dash before the name Matt Ridley

b. Book Summary Page
I can send text in a word doc.

c. Map Page
We need to add titles to the maps above the maps by copying the title in the map itself.

d. Sample Pages
I can send a PDF doc. I would like to have then displayed like a book so that on one click you can turn the page.

e. Timeline
This is key page, I have a long (in width) timeline jpeg file ( I can send it to you) which I need to add to the site and then add zoom functionality to it. It will require a bar on the bottom to move from left to right and possibly also up and down.
I suggest the zoom functionality below.

2) LAYOUT
I need to add two pages, namely

a. ‘RECOMMENDED READING’
Page with links to books on amazon so that I can take advantage of referral fees. List of books attached.

b. CONTACT PAGE
Contact page and say the following:
‘The author welcomes and comments and / or corrections and can be contacted on christopher@lascelleshistory.com’


3) ADD-ONS
I have registered the domain with heart internet (heartinternet.co.uk). They have a few options which they offer as CGI scripts which I am keen to add to the website.

Tell-a-friend
I would like a box somewhere for people to be able to tell a friend about the website in three or four easy moves/

Eblah
They have a CGI script that allows discussion on the site. Specifically I am keen to get people's feedback on the timeline. Can we add this to the timeline page?
I can provide you with the login details to my web page where the CGI scripts can be downloaded bu perhaps wordpress have a similar functionality?

TIME
The changes to the home page won't take more than 30 mins. The major time spent will be on the map page and on the timeline page which needs a zoom function.

In theory I need this by Tuesday eve if possible.
