Hi Jody,

I completely understand you perspective on this and it was never my intention to cause offence on this matter.

PPH is set up in such a way that it protects you (the client) from everything you are concerned about. There is a process that allows you to effectively 'drip feed' the developer, by way of making agreements of conditions and by using sign off stages to authorise the next payment, once the work has been done to your satisfaction.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to bid on your project for two reasons, neither of which is down to the financial aspect.

The first reason, is that simply have far too much work on and I have at least 3 other projects waiting to be started in the next 6 to 8 weeks, on top of my current workload.

The final reason, is that I would not be able to provide you with the final functionality that you are looking for, which is to create a replica store with the click of a button.

Unfortunately, I would know the first thing about creating that and I wouldn't mislead you. However, I have real concerns about that and I would like to draw your attention to some of them in an attempt to provide you with good advice - to the best of my ability.

The type of website that you require is one that is required by law to be PCI-DSS compliant and also must be secure by way of an SSL Certificate being placed on the primary domain.

Ecommerce merchants have to take every possible step to ensure that they are protecting the customer data they collect and not processing orders made with stolen credit card numbers. Fraud security measures are vital to a seller's business life, since breaches could ruin brand reputation and cost a seller millions in reparation and fines.

Now in order for your website to be PCI-DSS Compliant, the first step that must be taken is for an SSL Certificate to be installed on the server that the domain resides. The issue that you will face (if you find such a way to replicate a website with the click of a button) is that the certificate is only valid for the original domain and not for the duplicate website. So in effect, you would have an insecure website.

Your duplicate website would be tethered to your original store, meaning that you couldn't move it to another server in order to have it secured by another independent SSL Certificate as this would kill the tether and therefore lose the Affiliation link.

You really must consider keeping only one website and maximising it's potential for Affiliate Marketing etc by having the Affiliate Infrastructure built into the store itself and providing each affiliate with their own unique ID which they can then use to forward traffic to YOUR website and not a duplication.

I hope this makes sense to you and if you have any further questions or points that you would like to discuss, feel free to reply.

Kind regards,

David Smith

Whew. Where to start?!

First of all, I would normally charge £150 for the design element alone. You would be looking at around £5,000 as an absolute minimum to get this website up and running.

Your deadline is totally unrealistic.

And you have 3 cancelled jobs on this site - why were none accepted?

Hi there,

Dont really understand the meaning of your message however will answer, actually my total budget for job is £5000 (shocking same figure as you stated) however thats for stage 2 and 3 also, things listed as required are included in the £500 however looks like i will be accepting allot less than that as seen the work of people offering to do it all for £250 and its outstanding and exactly what i require, one even building the more advanced site i eventually require for £250 :)

Anyway all the best
Jody
