Dear Christopher,

I would like to know if you willing to extend budget? the above given budget may not be feasible to achieve all the features with latest technologies and quality. We propose to do this website in Microsoft Technologies.

Let me know and we would like to submit our bid.

Thank you
PR

Hi MAC Tech Serv,

To be honest I am looking for MOST of the features. They were taken from an 'off the shelf' solution and are intended as a guid - some more important than others. I think most systems like oscommerce probably include the majority as default.

As for the PCI compliant server bit that was perhaps something that I should clarify, my intention was to have this hosted on a shared server with a private IP address and its own certificate - that should suffice and will be taken care of from this end so will not add to the cost.

To answer your question - I think the budget is pretty much where it needs to be. There are countless off the shelf products that could accomplish 95% of what I want to do - I just don't have time to do it myself. Depending on the level of SEO optimisation + social network integration I might consider an addition to the budget but this would need discussing.

Thanks and best,
Chris

Dear Chris,

We can build this as we have a shopping cart platform we have developed using .NET. However, we host this currently on our servers with failover architecture. Were you looking to host this on your server?

Many thanks

Hi Sean,

Yes, I would prefer any solution to be hosted on our own servers although I would be prepared to have it hosted elsewhere if it came down to it being the right choice to get the look and feel we wanted.

Thanks & best,
Chris

Hi Christopher,

I am definitely interested in creating this site for you, however the features you have listed are quite comprehensive and may be hard to fit them all in for £1000. Would you consider increasing your budget at all?

Also, do you have hosting set up, as PCI compliant servers can get very expensive. Would you like us to quote for setting you up on a PCI compliant server, or is this already sorted?

Thanks,

Stu

I could have summarised what I wanted in one paragraph and left out the entire list of features but the fact remains that there are countless off the shelf products that could accomplish 95% of what I want to do - I just don't have time to do it myself.

HI Christopher,
I have just a suggestion, please don't mind if i am wrong.
It is always better to go for a multi domain e-commerce engine, which will be easier for you later on to manage your whole domain.

If you have flexible budget, I will suggest you to go for that.

Thanks & Regards

Hi San,

How does that work? Why is it better? What increase in price are we talking?

Thanks & best,
Chris

Hi Christopher,

How would you feel about having a Joomla/Virtuemart site developed for you?

Joomla can do what you need and much more besides.

You can have all five domains with their own styling plus the ecommerce store selling across all of them.

All the best

Joe

i mean there will be a common single control panel through which you may administer all your different e-commerce website, as that is initial a bit time taking so may take 15% cost higher than your current budget as you proposed in the specification document.

Thanks & regards
