Need to be able to search by:

Surname of contact
Company name
Company type
Areas marketed to (e.g. Norway or Canada)
Destinations marketed (e.g. Cape Verde or Thailand)
Follow up date
Activity with our media (e.g. member, member making an offer, Offer type made, lapsed member, advertiser, subscriber, Speaker at conference, Editorial contributor)
Sourge eg exhibition Spring 2011 with name of event
Telephone number
Country they are based in
What they have responded to e.g. mailer inviting sales partners
Importance code(we will give a code 1-5 depending on how important they are)

Must also be able to:

Log all comments on the client
Easily segregate the database for mailing etc.
Generate reports

Needs to be:

Fast
Easy to use
Accessible remotely
