Description

We have an existing database of circa 47 million records and have an annual update databse also of 47 million records.
I need to maintain the existing database and update certain parts with the new database and make ready for access by our bespoke online application. The data is confidential so a confidentiality agreement will need to be signed.

    Hi Wayne, I have considerable experience with SQL 2000 but I wonder if you could clarify in a bit more detail exactly what you wish to achieve as I am a bit unsure from your description. Is it simply transferring data from one database to another or are there other goals? Thanks, Dan

    Hi Dan It is pretty much an update of 1 db from another and inserting any new records from the new db. Its not the hardest job, but the skill set is not here to do it anymore.

    Can you advise which database server you are using, e.g. Interbase, Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, SQL Server, etc. We have experience with a number of database servers but need to know which one you are using before we put a bid in. Regards Nigel
