Title:Data collection / research
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
I need to have contact data of my potential clients collected from various websites.
I provide professional consulting services to small Polish building contractors and as part of my marketing strategy I send out regular newsletters to companies on my mailing list.
Currently, I have approx. 250 contact in the distribution list and would like to expand this further. Most current contact I have copied from various websites, however as I got busier I just have no time to do it myself.
I could point the freelancer to various sites where Polish builders advertise, anyway these not difficult to find. I\'d provide the list of current contacts to avoid duplication. I\'d require data to be provided in an excel file.

L. B. on 14/06/2010 14:07It is difficult to decide whether to bother to bid when you have posted projects in the past but have not gone ahead with any. The nature of freelancing is that it is characterised by hits and misses but I do feel that project advertisers such as yourself must take into consideration the amount of time that we spend writing our bids.

B. K. on 14/06/2010 14:12Great, I admire your attitude, only if you were a bit more thorough with you thinking process and not jumped to offending conclusions too quickly.
You may notice I have only signed up with PPH 2 days ago and since then posted 3 projects that I am working on. They will all go live within next week and I am getting valuable and interesting bids for them.
Needles to say, you may not bother to bid.
All the best
M. D. on 14/06/2010 17:52Hi there
Does it have to be excel sheet or would word doc suffice? presume the 250 contacts you have are for reference only so that we don\'t double up, is there a certain figure you are looking for us to find for you? hope I\'ve understood listing right,
Many thanks.

B. K. on 14/06/2010 19:33Hi, it does need to Excel for data import reasons. The existing 250 contact are for reference only indeed. Not sure about the number I am looking for as would not like to set too high a goal for the number of available ones.
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
