Title:Creative Craft person (hands on)
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
I am looking for someone with basic cutting skills and stapling skills to cut fabric, wadding and staple it to a piece of wood. It is a very basic crafting job and as such would suit someone who is maybe just getting into crafting, or who has 4 hour spare per week, maybe someone who is retired. This is a home based role, using a template you will cut wadding and fabric and staple it around a wooden plaque. Everything you need will be provided and the work is piece rate at £1.25 per completed plaque.
I can make 6 to 8 / hour however I would expect 5-6 per hour as a target once you are fully trained. This job could also lead to helping with other products if you are happy to do so and confident in your abilities. It would be possible to do this on an evening - I'd be looking at 40 pieces over the first week or so.

J. C. on 13/07/2011 15:53Hi Nicola,
Thanks for your message,. I have reviewed the pay structure and I'm just waiting for approval. I'm new to all this!
The min wage for 18-20 year olds is £4.92 and I was aiming this position at college / school leavers, hence the low pay.
It is a very mundane and basic job which can be done at home sitting in front of the tv for anyone who lives locally so I am happy to pay a piece rate however I cannot afford to increase the hourly rate.
I am about to advertise it locally anyway where I think I will probably have more luck. Thanks for the feedback! If you have any suggestions, please let me know as they are always welcome.
