Title:Cover design for technical manual
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
We need a cover designed for a technical training manual. The cover will be A4 to be produced in glossy paper to be bound into a documnent of c 300 pages. We have pulled out a few examples of what we are looking for by way of finish and will be able to provide details of the \'message\' that needs to be transmitted. The cover will need to be front and back with artwork free of restrictions and the IPR must remain with us. Some examples of the look and feel we want are attached. We have a company logo that must be incorporated too. Thanks for looking.

Having read your brief and looked through the examples of covers, could you please confirm whether you will source and supply all necessary high resolution royalty free stock imagery for your manual covers as this could add significantly to the budget if your chosen designer were to carry out this function, especially as you have rightly insisted artwork be free of restrictions and the IPR to remain with you. Can you also confirm whether you have produced a design guide - even if its just for typography, colours and logo usage. Finally, small matter, how will you reproduce your covers - litho or digital?

We have some art work that will form part of the design for the cover which belongs to us. We would reallywant the all other and any artwork to be provided by the successful bidder as part of the price. In essence apart from our logo which will need to appear on the cover everthing else needs to be done. We ahve a standard set of colours that we use for other purposes.
We will probably use digital reproduction, but it does depend on the quality obtainable.
Any more questions please let me know.

Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
