Job Description

We are a distributor of premium health and beauty products, seeking a professional to write copy for a new brand we are preparing to debut in the UK. Product originates from Thailand, with a great base foundation on holistic remedies and aromatherapy. This initial brief focuses on the launch itself, including website, product descriptions, company background and initial advertising, however, there will be opportunity for ongoing and regular work. Somebody that has written for a beauty product before, or has previous experience within the fashion or beauty industry, would be ideal.

The primary objective will be the completion of the website, with text for this needing to be completed by end of business Thursday, 30th September.

Can you give me any idea of the number of words you are looking for, the number of products etc.
How many pages of the website will require copy in the first instance / how many products (and how in depth will the material need to be)?
Is there any English Language material to work with?

Can you explain if you are expecting to pay up to £200 for someone to write copy for the website, advertising, leaflets and product descriptions and that you want it completed by this Thursday? Frances

Is it possible to clarify if the £200 covers just the website, or also product descriptions, company background copy and copy for advertising? Could you also advise roughly what you see the word count being for each piece of work? How many product descriptions are there?

Hi,

Thank you for responding with your questions so quickly.

The range consists of 5 fragrances, available in up to 8 variant products. For example, one fragrance will be available in a shampoo, hair conditioner, shower gel, etc. Not all fragrances are available in all variant products. In addition to the main ranges, there are gift sets available. In total there are approximately 30 products being listed for sale on the website.

To clarify, this brief is for the copy on the website only, and our maximum bid considered for the job is £200. You will be asked to write the About Us, The Concept, and NEWS pages, and then the description for the 5 fragrances available in the collection. For now, the text for the variant products will be kept simple and purely descriptive, which we will write in house. Some of the text you write will also be used in product literature and some simple brand advertising.

A website template exists already, and English language text already written, however the original text, written in Thailand by the brand owners, is not in line with our target market and does not do the brand justice.

Apologies for not being clearer in my initial brief, I hope this has given you more useful detail.
