Clarification Board
T. R. on 25/06/2010 03:321. Would we be advising a registered charity, a social enterprise or some other type of group? Please clarify.
2. If you can, please be more specific as to the type of contracts involved (i.e. their subject matter), and the typical lengths of the contract documents?
3. If this is an ongoing job potentially, are you open to discussing a retainer arrangement?

H. U. on 26/07/2010 22:04Registered charity, but with trading subsidiaries - so contracts might be with either. Typically contracts will be relating to grants from trusts and other grant making bodies, or fundraising / marketing deals such as sponsorship or cause related marketing agreements. Grant docs are often lengthy, but marketing deals probably 5-10 pages. Would hope this could be an ongoing job, wiht variety of things to review and quick turnaround time required.
T. R. on 27/07/2010 03:18Thank you for your reply, Helen. Given your requirements, I think it would be difficult for us to reply usefully and effectively through the format of this site. Moreover, your requirements are likely to be quite technical and niche, in that you are operating trading subsiaries - possibly social enterprises, with complex structures - in addition to the registered charity. We need to meet, or at least discuss this on the phone. My name is Tom Rogers. I am a solicitor, and Principal of Rogers & Co. Solicitors, Leeds. You'll find further information about me in my profile. If you would care to e-mail me with a day and time I should telephone you, I will be happy to do so. Our e-mail address is easily retrievable through a Google search. Thank you.
