Title:Chatroom/ website platform
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
Hi,
Before i disclose the unique features for the website/chatroom that i have in mind ill just fill in a bit about the details. the idea is currently a concept only, i do not have a website and so the chatroom i require will be the full platform in itself, much like chatroulette is just one interface. i am a marketing specialist myself and so i have very little programming knowledge which is where i need an expert like yourself to be able to take a front seat role to this and decide what hosting etc will be required and similar decisions.
i am offering 200 euro for the completion of the work but that is negotiable and perhaps payment may be on an hourly basis in the end depending on agreement and the complexity of the final project. i am also looking to get the platform built asap.
does this project sound like something that you are interested in, considering it is a full development of a chatroom/website platform from scratch? thanks.

A. P. on 18/03/2010 17:23Hello Niall,
everything sounds quite interesting but the budget for that
kind of project should be with one zero more.
If you reconsider your budget I'll be glad to develop it.
Regards,
Alex

N. J. on 18/03/2010 18:28Hi Alex,
I appreciate my estimate is a bit off. youll have to forgive me im new to this area. I am willing to re consider my budget but you can understand that it will take me a few weeks to see what kind of capital i can raise to get closer to a more realistic budget. at that time i will contact you again and we can chat some more about it. thanks again for your reply,
kind regards,
Niall

N. B. on 22/03/2010 13:46Hi Niall
Sorry but direct contact outside of the bidding and bid process is a breach of PPH rules and I am not permitted to put my contact details up. If you invite me to bid, I can put in an initial bid then you can send me more details via the bidding system and I can revise my bid on the basis of what you send me.
Regards
Nigel

N. B. on 23/03/2010 08:59Hi Niall,
If you go to help and do a search on the word "invite" you will find a set of instructions on how to invite freelancers to bid. Alternatively phone the PHP help desk, they can do it for you. I have never done it, so am not sure how to do it.
Regards
Nigel
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
