Title:Brochure Design

Job Description

I am a lawyer. My firm specialises in acting on behalf of local councils, and providing a complete legal services outsourcing solution. In particular we offer an expert advocacy service, i.e. the conduct of the actual court work. Councils' own lawyers often prefer to instruct outside advocates for court work simply because they either lack the resources or the ability. We provide other unique services. Effectively we can pick up their overflow, at their convenience, at a moment's notice and for a cost which is far below market rate.
We are about to undertake a marketing campaign targeted at local councils who have not yet used us. I want a fresh and innovative brochure which will make a strong visual impact. I also require the designer to be able to deal with the actual text in an effective way (lawyers are not often great marketeers, and we often use far too many words to get our message across - as will probably already be apparent!).

Hi Richard

I am a professional marketer and copywriter with over 12 years experience, having advised Eversheds for 3 years and City law firm D J Freeman for 1 year.

Obviously my speciality is providing targeted, engaging copy - I don't do design but have worked with other designers on this site. Would you accept a joint bid?

Regards
Claire

Great, thanks. Any idea of layout, number of pages etc?

Hi Claire,

No fixed idea re layout, number of pages, etc. We are very open minded on all issues. It needs to be professional, but with a strong visual impact. I'm sure that most of these things end up in the bin (in fact I know they do), so hopefully something that people will want to keep hold of for more than a few minutes. It needs an image which will be attractive to local authorities i.e. not too radical, but not staid either - if that makes any sense.

No doubt the number of pages will be dictated by the amount of content. We are very specialist, so there are not a lot of practice areas to sell. We're probably thinking in terms of some general introdutory remarks, plus 3 sections dealing with different practice areas and 1 section dealing with costs, USPs, etc. Obviously, we're willing to be guided in all of this.

Hope this helps.

Regards
Richard

Hello,

Thanks for the opportunity to quote. So as to make my bid sensible please could you let me know the amount of pages required and whether images will be supplied.

Thanks
