Book Cover Artist/Designer

Sunpenny Publishing is a small company about to embark on rapid expansion. We are looking for several different freelance book cover designers who MUST please have a portfolio of book cover designs for us to look at; we will be choosing artists based on their STYLE of artwork, depending on which of our books suits that artist's style.

Please do not bid if you don't have experience in BOOK COVER DESIGN - it's very different to magazine layouts, etc. We need someone who is an artist - using 3D, or manually drawing or sketching, or painting. We are not interested in photographic designs or looks.

If the way you work is to collage photographs, please do not apply. If you charge high prices, please do not apply. We are a small company with small budgets at this stage in our growth.

We are looking for classy, contemporary design from people who know the current UK book market and can design eye catching covers that will sell well in the UK. We are not looking for high fantasy, or dragons and dungeons, or the like. Current books are wide in variety but do not include horror or suspense.
