A. J. on 24/03/2010 19:42Hi Martin,
Any chance you could post up the form designs? The complexity of those designs will make a massive difference to how much this job will cost. Also, can you supply details of how you propose the matches between au pair and family will be made?
Also, just to make you aware, there will be an ongoing cost involved with the payment side of things (usually the gateway takes a cut) so don't forget to factor that into your cost calculations.
Finally, can you supply information about your hosting? For example, are you self-hosted, or remote-hosted (or running on a vps), what languages/databases will you be using, and so on?
Regards,
Allan Jones

M. M. on 25/03/2010 17:19Hello Allan,
Can you have a look at some of the other aupair sites to get a feel for the form design...they are near enough all the same.
We use HSBC payment gateways for our websites, so this will follow .
We use remote servers, and I have no preference for languages but like PHP MYSQL

Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
