Description
Experience Level: Expert
What I am looking for is some ad-hoc support,. I would anticipate the level of support that I will be about 2 das, over the next month or so. The type of issues I am struggling with are;
Am using Joomla 15, on local host, under windows 7, and using IE9, am also using Firefox as IE 9 seems to have a few bugs in it !!
Setting up e-mail from a Joomla page
Putting a module in the component area
Publish / Unpublish from the front end, rather than having to go into administrator
Google maps, want to get this working
What we have solved
Setting a module in a position
Getting the menus working
Getting Feedgator working and publishing to the component and modules (adds bulk to the site)
Getting a plugin working
Got akeeba backup working to download the site to local host (have not uploaded back to cloudaccess as yet)
Loaded a bunch of articles from a flat file (csv)
What we have limited or no understanding of is
Php
Css
xml
We can edit files in text editors, and do understand something of the various files flat files that make up a Joomla site.
I do not want to become a web developer, just know enough to get the site into shape, and have a basic understanding of what is possible. If I need any really fancy stuff working, I will contract this out, things such as google maps will apply here.
