Title:Accommodation Search Website

Location:Anywhere

Job Description

I\'m writing to request your support to generate a, hopefully, simple website to support a business plan I am creating as part of my business studies.

We are trying to put together a student accommodation website and we have a trade show in class next Thursday, 10th March. The mark we receive is based on our idea, not the website, but we thought it would be cool to try and have a prototype put together for us - just in case you thought I was trying to cheat!

Basically it is comparable to the likes of Rightmove and Zoopla in the UK, but aimed at student only market. Students \'review\' their landlords and post these reviews online, while \'incoming\' students to the area can pay to view these reviews and get the inside info on areas of London to live / avoid etc.

To support the design we are looking to have 5 pages put together:

1) A home page for the website, where a user can search for a particular area to find results
2) A results page which would present these in a list, and could order that list according to rent price, rating etc (I guess a sql database would be needed to store said info)
3) A product / review page of 1 particular property
4) A profile page for a registered user - displaying desired location, price preferences etc
5) A profile page for an estate agent - displaying location, contact information, maybe a logo etc

I can provide more information if required but hoping this will be enough to wet your appetite for now. As it is an initial prototype, we could only really afford up spending up to £150 but if successfull with the pitch, would be looking to go on to develop a full blown service with investment secured from the trade show next Thursday.

Would you be interested, or able / willing to help? I can provide some further information later regarding the actual content, the layout and design is not so important right now.

Many thanks,
Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

My suggestion is you even don't spend that 200 quid for the dev. job - there are loads of open sources scripts that can do the job. Just put a little bit patience on finding them and work on them (regardless you know technical stuff or not, I believe you can make it work...)

Good luck!
