Title:ASP.NET ecommerce design and coding
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
We have developed an ecommerce framework using ASP.NET and a MySQL database. This has been developed using offshore resource. This has worked well for new work but not for support of existing work. We require the following:
1. Review of existing code
2. Chargeable changes as new requirements come up
3. An annual support contract to cover bug fixing of existing code with a SLA
I see this as an ongoing project and as such would like to meet with the programmer from time to time in my home location of Leeds.
I am initially looking for the code review mentioned in item 1. I will then quickly move onto some changes that I need making - item 2. By this point the programmer should be familiar enough to provide item 3 - support.

M. H. on 11/10/2010 11:35Hello Dave.
I am interested in working with a freelance developer who is close to Leeds. I have work that needs to be delivered in the next couple of weeks. If I cannot find the right local developer in time then this chunk of work will go to my existing offshore programmer.
K. A. on 11/10/2010 12:27Hi, I am based in London, I provide ecommerce shops, stores etc. would you consider someone from London? Please can you elaborate point 2? Regards

M. H. on 11/10/2010 13:13Hi. I would consider someone from London if the person were a good fit. My preference for Leeds is simply for meetings etc.
Point 2 - We currently have a handful of our customers using the ecommerce framework we have developed. The code base is the same for all. We just switch features on or off in an admin tool and then apply a master page and CSS etc. As new / existing customers request changes / new features these are added in. I would request a quote from my programmer from the work required (fixed fee) and then quote my customer allowing for my project management time etc. Often we are integrating back to Sage and SAP accounting systems which is where our skills lie.
I. F. on 11/10/2010 12:38Hey Martin,
Thanks for the response.
We can surely give you delivery on time.
But for that we need to talk to you once to start the project.
Regards,
Dave

Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
