Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
Industry: Education
Topic: Various topics around UK higher education
Tone: Other
Extensive research needed: no
Extra notes: I have 50 articles of between 350 – 850 words written on the topic of higher education and applying to university in the UK. I need someone to knock them in to shape with regards to SEO and keyword loading them following Yoast basic guidelines. No research on any of the articles is needed but some rewriting and/or proof-reading will be necessary.
Some examples of the articles can be found here –
http://unichoices.tempesta.io/advice/bottom-barrel-finding-those-vital-extra-pounds-uni/
http://unichoices.tempesta.io/advice/after-uni/post-graduate-qualifications-explained/
http://unichoices.tempesta.io/advice/applying-uni/applying-for-a-uk-student-visa/
For each article the following is needed:
• Deciding what are the focus keyword(S) for the article - unique words are preferable but obviously this is decided by the article topic.
• Writing/rewriting the post title (H1) to align with the keywords – this should be between 40 and 70 characters in length
• Writing/rewriting the first paragraph to align with the keywords – ideally the keywords should appear in the first sentence and the topic should be clear immediately
• Adding/amending (in a natural style) subheadings (H2) throughout the article to align to and/or incorporate the keywords
• Write the meta description for the article - ideally between 145 and 156 characters
• Ensure that the keyword is repeated elsewhere in the article, several times if possible in a natural way.
• Ensuring that copy is easy to read (short sentences) and proof read for errors or typos.
Do not worry about the url, images or outbound links associated with the articles, I will take care of these.

A before and after example are attached, please complete articles in the same formatting.
• Native English or high level competency in English is a must.
• I expect the work to take around 40hrs and be completed within 2 weeks.
• Articles are to be completed in UK English (not US English.)
• Please send me max. three examples of your written work or SEO/keywording experience.
Shortlisted applicants will be given two articles to amend as a test and if found satisfactory will be paid £20 for these two articles. Further information will be given before this task is undertaken.
