Title:1-25 line-art illustrations for experimental fiction book
Location:Remote
1-25 line-art (hand-drawn or digitally produced) illustrations of nanovellas (hyper-condensed, experimental fiction) with the possibility of an additional single color image in any style/medium.
Sample text of a nanovella to be illustrated is attached. The collection contains mature content; frank discussion of sexual and race issues. Do *not* open to read or bid if this bothers you.
We are a small press preparing a collection of nanovellas for 2011 publication. We have no preconceptions about what the art must look like. Any style, from Ralph Steadman to Aubrey Beardsley, will be considered.
To bid:
1) Read the sample content.
2) Describe in one or two sentences how you would illustrate it.
3) Make sure there is something in your gallery on this site to match the style you would use. Mention it so we'll know what to compare.
We will buy at least one illustration from the selected artist. If the first is a good match for the book, we'll add more and consider adding a color image for the book cover into the project at a higher rate.
Thank you!
