About Me

I am a freelance web content specialist capable of producing great work at very competitive rates. My remit is to always create well-written, clear, entertaining and accessible copy.

My main area of expertise is sport although I am not limited to covering this subject area. I am currently writing for an online football blog having also edited The Football Blog, a well regarded and highly ranked football-based site placed within a competitive area of interest.

My portfolio is diversifying; aided by a burgeoning understanding of SEO principles, I am also able to provide snappy and engaging copy on a wide range of subject areas and specialisms.

I have also written numerous topical articles that have been published through a major article portal and subsequently republished through other media outlets. These have covered a varied assortment of subjects, including news, politics, entertainment and the media.

Through my personal blog, I offer sharp opinions on pertinent international, UK and local issues. I aim to keep my finger on the pulse; this ensures content is original and fresh while keeping up with the relentless pace of our insatiable social media orientated generation.

In addition, I am a published author, with numerous articles commentating on events affecting Wycombe Wanderers Football Club published by The Wanderer fanzine.

I have also managed the Twitter account for The Football Blog, connecting with like-minded individuals; from football aficionados to those with a passing interest in the game. In the past, I have hosted the site's podcast and have produced my own personal podcasts too.

Besides sports writing, I'm available to write blogs on news, current affairs, reports or even product reviews. My other literary interests include writing drama for radio and television.

Work Experience

As a content creator, I have administered and created various websites since my early teenage years.

In the last four years, I have maintained a regular personal blog specified in providing localised niche content relating to the towns of High Wycombe and Bournemouth. My personal website now publishes incisive comment on a variety of international, UK and local issues.

I have expanded my skillset by writing for and editing The Football Blog. Working with a team of writers and blue-chip clients, the site was able to offer hard-hitting opinion and analysis as well as run reader competitions supported by multi-national companies.

One of my current assignments involves providing the same in-depth analysis on issues affecting the Barclays Premier League and nPower Championship for the 3Down3Up blog.

Recently, my output has diversified to encompass tailored SEO articles on a variety of subjects.

I have also written articles on news, politics, social media, entertainment and showbusiness.

Education

I am educated to degree level with a BA (Hons) English with Film Studies (2.1) degree attained in 2007 having graduated from the University of Wales, Bangor, UK.

I have also achieved three UK A Level grades of:
English Literature (B)
History (B)
Philosophy and Ethics (C)

In addition, my relevant GCSE level grades were:

English Language (A)
English Literature (B)
History (B)

I have made three notable voluntary contributions to the community, achieving two recognised awards for aiding the development of others.

While still in higher education, I was presented with the Princess Diana Award for my work in helping to mentor primary school students, with the aim of improving their literacy and numeracy.

While at university, I also participated in the 'Reaching Higher, Reaching Wider' scheme; my remit was to visit a local secondary school and help encourage a group of Year 7 pupils without a historical or familial background in Higher Education to strive to continue their studies post-16 and reach their full potential.

I have also volunteered at 'Hospital Radio Bedside', a charitable organisation based in Bournemouth. I collected patient requests and for a brief period, I co-ordinated a sponsorship campaign, eliciting responses from local businesses and organisations who wished to have their name heard on the airwaves, with the aim of procuring funds.
