1996-2002 MERRILL LYNCH RESEARCH TELECOMS TEAM. Various roles, including heading emerging telecoms team and finally heading cellular team (main coverage Vodafone, Orange, O2 etc). Started as an associate and reached Director. Team was no.1 ranked for several years by independent agencies such as Institutional Investor during 1999-2001 period. Roles involved analysing financials, making forecasts and predictions and recommendations on the back of the analysis and then marketing the conclusions to financial institutions. Carried out thematic as well as stock specific research eg potential growth in data usage for cellular or social responsibility issues surrounding the internet.

2002-2006 CALYON CHEUVREUX RESEARCH TELECOMS TEAM. Headed UK Telecoms coverage and global coordinator for the team. In 2006 Starmine awarded UK team no.1 position for accuracy of earnings estimates and no.2 for accuracy of stock recommendations.

1993-1996 worked in Merrill's European investment banking and syndicate marketing departments covering various sectors.
