Work Experience
Starting off on a busy IT helpdesk in 2001, I spent two years working on & managing this helpdesk offering 1st line support to over 100 clients, whilst gaining my MCSE at the same time.
After two years of doing this role, I moved on to become a field engineer, visiting various client sites to fix IT problems and providing 2nd line support.
Shortly after this I became a client site \"FM\" manager, being assigned the responsibility of being the main IT person in charge of various client sites, with regular maintenance visits and pro-active site planning and managing.
My final step in this company was to become an lead installation engineer, taking responsibility of leading project teams during new server installations/upgrades & new network builds.
18 months ago I decided to move away from permanent employment, and became a freelance IT engineer/consultant - starting Apponotec Limited in the process.
I have a small collection of local businesses that I provide IT network support for myself and I also have an employee who assists me in supporting these clients.
I also spend some of my days providing holiday/sickness cover for a couple of larger IT Consultancy companies in London.
My technology experience includes Windows 2008 & 2003 Server, Exchange 2007 & 2003, Watchguard firewalls, and Citrix XenApp Fundamentals to list a few.
