About Me
I have been working as a freelance researcher for the past eight years. I have conducted research for the UK and the Finnish Governments (different departments), the European Union, international NGOs (including UNICEF and Save the Children) and universities in London (including City University and the Institute of Education). My duties have included: data entry; database management; literature searches; qualitative research; quantitative research; project planning and management; market research; report and article writing.
I also work as a journalist for NGOs in London (such as the Migrant Resource Centre). I have written for and editted articles and book chapters for academic journals (including Psychology of Music and Educational Research) and different publishers (such as Sage). I have written fiction for two different blogs focussed on raising awareness of spiritual issues in modern society.
Furthermore, I recently wrote a novel based on my travel and development work abroad. The book is semi-autobiographical and includes fictitious stories from the countries that I have visited. My next project is a children's book on universal values and the oneness of all humans.
I also tutor privately in London. I mainly tutor in the Finnish language and give private piano lessons. I also tutor mathematics and English to primary school children.
