I have reported on many of the world\'s biggest sporting events; I have managed a large desk of reporters and sub-editors, setting the daily news agenda for the reporters to follow and ensuring the stories were delivered to customers in a timely and accurate fashion; I have transformed an error-ridden text service into a high-quality product capable of reaching a wide range of media platforms by streamlining working practices and implementing high standards of accuracy and copy-tasting; I have prepared and executed budgets with contributions totalling nearly £3 million; I have built an editorial team by identifying gaps in resources, recruiting skilled staff, introducing coherent working practices and developing individual accountability.
