About Me

I have over 10 years experience working for large medical and healthcare companies - in sales and marketing, and since trained as a web-designer. My previous roles have covered all parts of the marketing mix and I offer the following services (based from Nottingham):

Field Selling:
Sellng healthcare products (including medical devices, consumables, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and complementary therapies) to end users or distributors (including hospitals. veterinary surgeons, GPs, pharmacies, and retail). I can travel UK wide (have own car).

Market Research and Concept Testing.

Product and Competitor Research and Analysis.

E-Marketing Campaigns.

Medical Writing:
Including patient and HCP marketing material and information booklets, and clinical paper synopses.

Product Training to Healthcare Professionals - including in an operating theatre environment.

Work Experience

6 months medical writing, research and communications for a clinical trials communications company. My position here was 'Communications Manager' which was at Account Manager level.

2.5 years marketing/product management for Johnson & Johnson - Codman Neurosciences division. Included key account selling.

13 years in sales: mainly medical and healthcare (J&J, Boehringer-Ingelheim Vetmedica and Innovex) but also: advertising / health insurance/ recruitment.

4 years recent experience as a freelancer undertaking various projects:- selling devices to gynaecological surgeons; selling skin-care products to plastic surgery and burns units; designing web-sites; conducting research into new business opportunities and forming a detailed marketing plan for a new genetic testing product; selling parcel carrier services; organising business networking events; organising and hosting social events and working as a regional editor for an online events company.

Amendments and updates to existing web sites for radiator panels and energy-saving insulation company website - using Dreamweaver and Photoshop. The project value below reflects these amendments.

I previously built both sites - including design of logos, themes and added a full credit card payment and sales management system. Used Dreamweaver, Photoshop and some use of Javascript for these sites.
