Having read law at Sheffield Hallam University Richard worked for a leading solicitorÃ’¢ï’¿’½ï’¿’½s firm and also represented the DTI on behalf of British Coal. In 2005, he was made redundant and decided to change his career. Writing had been a passion for many years and he had already published a novel and a couple of short stories together with regular contributions to two local music magazines and the local paper. So he sold his house in Sheffield and moved to Amsterdam to study a comprehensive writing course. In 2008, he moved to London via Berlin and has seen his writing career flourish.
