I have been in translation business for over 9 years now, working full-time from home via Internet as an English to Polish, Polish to English translator for individual clients and translation agencies as well, based in USA, Asia, Africa and Europe, having strong background in electronics industry, which is included in my CV. I have many projects behind, including such fields like telecommunication, automotive, construction engineering, medical equipment, PC hardware and software, IT, web content, computer gaming, legal, press releases, literature and generally technical documentation. My rate is $0.05 per word if done in plain doc format and my daily output is about 2000-2500 words in case of technical translations. As for the software I use except for typical ones, it is as follows:
Net Objects Fusion for HTML editing, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Cool Edit Pro for audio files editing, Corel Draw, Transit Satellite, SDLX, Trados.

CURRICULUM VITAE


Having received Technical College Electronics Education in 1982 (telecommunication), I worked at the biggest Telecom. Company TP S.A in Poland for 18 years as a technician: telephone exchanges - maintenance, repair, measurement of stationary devices, wireless, transmission data, time division systems, additionally doing translation of technical documentation. I have also gone through all PC operating systems and have a good knowledge of computer hardware and software and printed circuit diagrams as well, having worked six months in this industry after resigning from the post mentioned above.
In 1999, given the hard situation on the working market, I went to my colleague living in Australia, keeping myself partly by cashed in of my TP S.A shares and by fixing PC hardware and software at private owners, improving my English skills to the present level.
Currently I work full-time from home as a Polish to English, English to Polish translator via Internet, for individual clients and translation agencies based in Europe, Asia and USA, having passed Certificate in Advanced English exam, specializing generally at technical translations, hardware, software, web content, IT localization, documentation, literary, scientific study, press releases, and ordinary texts as well.
For some time I have been cooperating here in Poland with Russian and Ukrainian native speakers, professional translators, so in case of getting an order in my language combination I can also operate and deliver the project in English - Russian, English - Ukrainian languages as well, with the same quality and deadline if required.
