Editor & Writer

First and foremost, I am an editor and writer in medical publishing. Within this role I undertake work that includes the production of standalone conference newspapers, ghost-writing of
medical textbooks and other associated projects.

Thus I am well versed in editing, copy-writing, interviewing, researching, proofreading, commissioning sponsorship and other allied tasks (such as keeping to tight print deadlines).

In addition to medical publishing, I am also editor for the 'Food and Booze' section of [Link Removed] - a role that gives me great pleasure in flexing rather different creative muscles.



Other work
----------------
While writing is my passion, I am still involved in in academia part time as a post-doctoral researcher, thus I am well-grounded in scientific concepts, research and academia as a whole. A part time role in 'traditional' science allows me to keep a watch over the field, as well as allowing me to gain genuine, insider knowledge for my writing projects.

Other workhobbies that feature in my day-to-day include:

> Presenting a weekly hospital radio show in London (for which I also do some voiceover work)
> Regular gigging musician as part of a seven piece band in London
