March - June 2010: PriceWaterhouse Coopers
Marketing Communications Facilitator.
I was brought in to organise the European events for PriceWaterhouse Coopers; the work involved a high degree of organisation, analytical skills and attention to detail. This position involved adapting the budget, liaising with third parties and negotiating lower prices for room hire etc, and also building web content for a registration website.
September-November 2009: Spiral Software
Marketing Communications Executive.
During my time at Spiral I focused upon Google Adwords’ campaigns, advertising in industry journals and periodicals, the marketing plan and budget for FYE2011, and how to go about a potential rebrand for the company.
January-September 2009: Cambridge University Press
Marketing Executive, Academic and Professional Books;
I worked as the Marketing Executive for Music and Literature titles This role involved:
Compiling e-mail and print campaigns, sourcing and buying lists, as well as identifying relevant internal data
Collaborating with the marketing design team to produce flyers, posters PDFs and other marketing communication
Liaising with the editorial team regarding author requests, review copies, the progress of specific titles, and launch invitations etc.
Planning the budgets for the next financial year and adapting where necessary

Marketing Executive
Organised events •most recently National Depression Week lectures focusing upon nutritional intervention in depression- involved arranging venue hire, liaising with PR department regarding promotion, whilst keeping a strict budget in mind at all times.
Shared responsibility for writing copy for newsletters (examples available on request), editorials, press releases, advertisements, leaflets, posters, websites etc; work which involved working to specific deadlines within a team and proof-reading colleagues’ work.
Researched potential markets for new products and subsequently strategized how best to target prospective customers.
Handled international distribution enquiries and sourced distribution documents, with the result that Igennus now boasts Japanese, Srilankan and Australian Distributors on its list of international stockists, and even a Japanese website.
Worked with graphic designer to create both French and German product packaging, and also the accompanying marketing materials (French and German-language PILs, Google Adwords etc.)
Oversaw the creation (and general maintenance) of the German and French Websites (involved problem-solving, checking accuracy, liaising with the website programme designer etc, and handling last-minute’ translations)
Handled customer complaints and enquiries, including those which might be considered of a litigious or sensitive nature
