About Me
I offer a range of IT, database and information management services to a diverse set of clients mainly in small business, the arts, tourism and private health sectors.
I\'m a specialist Filemaker Pro database developer and I also manage IT projects including design and content of web sites, copy-writing, training and support, data migration (including advanced de-duping and checking data integrity). I\'m based in Scotland and London and work remotely with clients throughout England.

The Mole Clinic
A complete Electronic Patient Record database system to manage appointments and assessments built for a clinic specializing in screening for skin cancer. The system allows nurses to post high definition images of skin lesions and add clinical notes. The system is then accessed remotely by dermatologists who can examine the images and notes and make diagnoses and recommendations. Patients receive detailed printed reports which are also stored in PDF format on the system. Reports were mostly printed in situ but could also be automatically faxed to GPs if required. The database was initially built using FileMaker Pro then after approx one year of use in the busy clinic, it was ported to a web application with complete migration of all legacy data. I designed and built the FileMaker database, gave ongoing support during its use in the clinic, ran management searches and reports, assisted with data migration and advised on security and backup.
