I'm Matt Dunn, a professional writer, and by 'professional', I mean it's my full-time job.
I'm older than I look, which means I've actually got a lot more experience than you might think; over the years, I've written copy for clients including leisure centres, management consultancies, security companies, travel agencies, property companies, software corporations, fitness equipment retailers, business information companies, accountancy firms and recruitment consultancies.
Every now and again, you'll see features I've written in publications like The Times, Telegraph, Daily Express, Sun, Guardian, Cosmopolitan, Elle, and Glamour. I also spent two years as a columnist for Spain's largest English language newspaper, writing features on travel, tourism and culture. What that means for you is that I have a proven track record in writing high-profile copy for a variety of audiences, both in the UK and internationally.
In my spare time I've written six novels, published by Simon & Schuster in the UK, and as far afield as Serbia, Indonesia, Turkey, Brazil, Germany, Croatia, and the U.S. One of them was even shortlisted for a couple of awards, so if you want an idea of how wide my range is – or just need something to read on holiday – Googling my name will take you to my website. They're romantic comedies (described as 'hilarious' and 'very, very funny' by the likes of the Daily Mirror and Heat magazine) so if you want me to apply that to your copy - the 'comedy' bit, not the romance - I'll do it at no extra charge. Matt was an absolute pleasure to work with. He's totally trustworthy and was really good at communicating and keeping me up to date, which was particularly important on a lengthy project that was done remotely. The quality of his work was always excellent and I would definitely recommend him.

Work Experience
I've been making my living as a writer since 2001. My career history prior to this is as follows:
After graduating with a Sports Science degree, I worked in the health and fitness industry for six years. This was followed by three years as UK Sales Manager for a leading American fitness equipment manufacturer, before a move into the recruitment sector as a headhunter for dotcom companies. Fifteen one-minute scripts for educational/informative animations. Scripts had to be original, entertaining, and - most importantly - on-message.

Education
I have the usual O and A Levels, but interestingly, I have a good degree in Sports Science (my dissertation won a prize in the Sports Council's 'Dissertation Of The Year' competition), so if you're in the health and fitness industry, I'll be able to bring that background knowledge to any copy I'll write for you.
