Tinker, tailor, soldier, sailor. Or that's how I feel most of the time. From secretarial roles in the UK, I dived in at the deep end as a sailor, moving on to renovating stone properties using traditional materials and farming my own small holding, still holding onto the sailing hoping to set sail again for Australia in 2 years time.

With friends as far afield as Thailand, Germany, Scotland and Ireland, I am well traveled in Europe and Asia.

I have 23+ years experience in various offices in the UK ranging from cashiering within a high street bank to PA working with the Technical Director at a building developers.

Determined, dedicated and thorough, I never submit any work until I am 100% satisfied that it is as accurate as I can make it. What I say I will do I will do and deliver on time more than is usually expected. But I'm not in any way perfect and check my work and my own abilities on a regular basis to ensure consistency.

I have experienced the 'real' culture across many different parts of the World, including Europe and Asia. You'll find me off the beaten track most of the time, avoiding areas 'popular with tourists'. The exception was Bangkok Palace which was heaving!

Thai people have had to endure a difficult time recently with the floods and our thoughts are with friends who live in Chawatt in Central Thailand throughout this difficult time.

Perhaps one benefit to the environment that has come out of the floods is the halting of the mass explosion of polluting vehicles that Bangkok endures on a daily basis.

I find living in Portugal offers me a wider ranging freedom of choice than I have experienced elsewhere although I enjoy returning to the UK for the occasional temporary job.

I try to find new experiences in life and I like to learn something new each day.
