About Me
Since completing a degree from the University of Surrey in 2005 I have been training and working as a Journalist in West Midlands.
Six months after finishing my NCTJ training in Leamington Spa I started my first journalism job at the Stratford-upon-Avon Observer.
This was a steep learning curve for me as I had to cover major national stories just months after getting the job.
As well as writing local news I was also required to write reviews of performances by the Royal Shakespere Theatre.
After 11 months at the Stratford paper was transferred to the Solihull Observer, where again I was covering big stories and reviewing plays at Birmingham's major theatres.
A further six months down the line I was again transferred, this time to the Coventry Observer as Sports Editor.
As well as following Coventry City Football Club around the country I also covered all of the other local sport and wrote news articles for the paper.
I am now working as a press officer at the University of Warwick, one of the UK's leading Universities
