District editor Kenilworth Weekly News January 2006 to present
Role: Responsible for the whole publication from writing and researching the news to managing and producing the layout and direction of the weekly publication to tight deadlines. I lead a team of four reporters ensuring that the publication covered every news story of interest within the locality and liaised with photographers and contacts to produce an excellent edition without exception each week.

Role: Second in command on the news desk, I wrote the majority of lead stories, attended court and council meetings and was responsible for two junior members of staff helping them achieve their NCTJ accreditation and assist them on a day to day basis in their writing and approach to news.
Airborne broadcaster AA Roadwatch February 2003 to January 2004
Role: Flying over Coventry and Warwickshire and Leicestershire in a tiny four-seater plane, I wrote and delivered traffic and travel bulletins to some of the nationÃ�’¢Ãƒ’¯Â’¿Â’½Ãƒ’¯Â’¿Â’½s best commercial stations including Mercia FM and Leicester Sound to tight deadlines. The role involved a 6am start every weekday as part of a split shift ensuring the travel was up to the minute throughout the breakfast show and the drive-time show.
Weekend editor/broadcaster Trafficlink April 2001 to 2003
Role: I was responsible for managing the office and staff during weekends as well as writing and collating bulletins and broadcasting them on a number of top stations, mainly for the BBC but also for Trent FM and Mercia FM. I collated the traffic and travel information and added it into a computer database to be used by the team at Trafficlink and also t be viewed by radio station staff members.

Role: After university I was offered a trainee position at the Hinckley Times where I trained and qualified as a journalist gaining the Trinity Mirror qualification.
