Hello there!

I have a wealth of experience and training in all areas of administration and secretarial work. I am quick, concientous, and flexible, and confident that I can supply an excellent service.
Areas covered: London, Middlesex
Lorraine has not been reviewed on PPH yet.
Professional Experience
I am now hoping to employment which is suited to my customer service and Microsoft Office skills and experience, which is also stimulating and varied. I like to work as part of a team, but am quite capable of using my own initiative if required. I enjoy a challenge!
Since July 2006 I have undertaken Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint training at Hounslow Computer Learning Centre and worked in mainly temporary positions as follows:

Providing advice both on the telephone and in person at the office to members of the public. Dealing with parking ticket appeals and payments. Some cash reconciliation and banking. This is a busy and varied role, and I am sorry it will be coming to an end!

My first position was with Children’s Services and Life Long Learning. This involved post sorting and distribution, faxing, e mailing, photocopying, printing. Preparing documents for meetings. Switchboard, diary management using Outlook.
I was then moved to the Independent Living Team with Heston Social Services, which was a much more challenging role! It included all of the above, but much more diary management, room and refreshment booking, and travel arrangement. Also arranging staff training and development. Taking and Typing minutes. Fairly extensive use of Outlook and Excel to set up staff rotas, flow charts and records of client allocation. I was also responsible for arranging the purchase of new office equipment (printers, fax machine, computer terminals).
I have really enjoyed this, it is more of a Personal Assistant position, but unfortunately all temporary posts at Hounslow Council are to be offered to internal staff only

This was a varied and busy role, and I was sorry when the permanent employee returned from leave, and I had to go!
