About Me
Laura Simpson, aged twenty four, is currently in final year Law at Queens University Belfast. As a result of her strong interest in the fashion industry she created Edge Fashion Blog([Link Removed]) in September 2010 concentrating on writing professional runway reviews of international fashion
designers, with a focus on upcoming talents, in addition to securing exclusive designer interviews with some of the fashion industry's leading talents.
In December 2010 to July 2011 she expanded her audience by contributing to Ugly Baby ([Link Removed]) and securing interviews from designers such as Marko Mitanovski,
Tze Goh, Sandra Backlund, Eugene Lin and fashion photographer Axel Engstrom amongst others. In January 2011 to present she was appointed Guest Fashion Editor of US based fashion and lifestyle company Project Lena ([Link Removed]) which expanded her audience to an international level, contributing runway reviews of designer collections.
In March 2011 to present she was appointed Deputy Fashion Editor of EnVie Magazine, Ireland's most widely distributed fashion based monthly magazine, exclusively interviewing
Michael Lewis, Georgina Goodman and many other designers, in addition to writing both womens and mens style pages, and additionally highlighting emerging international designers.
In August 2011 she further expanded her audience and journalism range by joining the Madrid based company Forward Council ([Link Removed]) a platform which specialises in
concept and avant garde art, fashion and film, her designer interview of Fannie Schiavoni being the most read article on the site. In March 2012 she was appointed Fashion Director of Forward Council, expanding her involvement with the company. She also continues to provide exclusive content for Edge Fashion Blog as well as fulfilling private commission work.
