36 years service with Bank of Scotland culminating in position as Manager of Branch Operations for the West of Scotland Region. The job responsibility was to help the branches run effectively and profitably offering strategic and marketing support plus management consultancy. I took an early retirement package to pursue the full benefit of my qualifications and formed NextLevel Associates with two fellow graduates. We offered strategic consultancy to Scottish based companies. Many of the assignments were intrduced by Scottish Enterprise until they changed policy and restricted consultancy to a few major players. When my consulting partner was obliged to sign a new contract of employment which precluded him from outside commercial involvement we decided to put the business on ice. I am currently a director of UK Sports Services Ltd. a small business supplying innovative product to the UK golf trade. My intention is to take a back seat in that and indulge my range of skills on an ad hoc basis and at the same time create space for my duties as incoming captain of Scottish Seniors Golfing Society.
