About Me
I am a Legal Practice Course graduate (qualification needed before you can train to be a solicitor) with 3 years legal assistantparalegal experience in the following areas:
Civil Litigation (including personal injury)
Employment Law
Property Law (commercial and residential)
Qualifications:
LLB (Hons): 2:1 (July 2007)
LPC: Commendation (July 2010)
As a non-qualified solicitor I would be able to help with certain aspects of legal work including detailed legal research, writing letters of claim, making applications to the Land Registry (which do not require signature from a conveyancer).
I can also help anyone wishing to bring a case in the Small Claims Court by offering:
1. Advice as to associated Court costs
2. Issuing the claim and ensuring the correct entity is sued
3. Drafting Particulars of Claim to accompany the Claim Form
4. Assistance with settlement and negotiation
5. Making an application to obtain Judgment in Default if applicable
6. Helping enforce the Judgment if necessary
Any person (without legal advice) can bring a claim in the Small Claims Court. The purpose of the Court is to allow better access to all members of the public. However, a detailed knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and a well drafted Particulars of Claim can make all the difference.
Please note if your claim is for personal injury you would be better advised to contact a solicitors firm who can conduct your claim on a CFA basis (and obtain ATE insurance should your claim fail). I can assist with any breach of contract claim for goods or services.
