i was a journalist for nearly a year on the Poole Advertiser, then for three years on the Basingstoke Gazette, then at the Sunday Mercury, Birmingham. I spent two years at Wessex News Agency writing for national magazines, and was a charity press and PR Officer for five years. For the last four years, I was a business copywriter with Balfour Beatty.
