My name is Julia Schumacher, I am a qualified and experienced native German freelance translator and proof reader, currently authoring new local website content, translating appropriate English original source text and proof reading for the website of one of Europe's leading bookmakers. I have been living and working in the UK for many years, with my employment focus on multimedia translation and localization [sic] between US-UK English and German.

I provide quality localisation for all types of media, including texts (print media), subtitles, audio, web-pages and interactive software; games, training courses (CBT) & navigation menus.
I am proficient in old German handwriting (Kurrent, Suetterlin i.e. Deutsche Schrift font) and Gothic type (Fraktur) translation, though please note the £9 per hour rate does not apply for these usually legally phrased, hand written document based, genealogy (ancestry) projects.
