I began my sales career in recruitment and then moved into account management in stationary and office equipment. From there I went on to be the top sales person for Barefoot Computer training, a technical IT training company, where I developed and grew accounts and generated over £1 million in revenue per year. From there I built my career to Sales Director of a managed training company growing the business from scratch to a turnover of £1.8 million in 4 years. I then became a contractor providing training departments for clients such as Damovo UK ltd and working with other training companies to provide their clients with specialised training programmes etc. I am a leader more than a manager and have never asked a member of staff to perform a task that I wasn’t willing or able to do myself.

I have a wide range of skills from administration to accounts to training to sales and am looking to work from home using my customer service and sales skills.

My husband and I moved our family to Central Portugal to give them a better life, however it is very hard to earn a living here, therefore using our UK base in Purley, Surrey I am hoping that I can split my time between the two countries in order to give my family the best of both worlds.

I was impressed with Joanne and have no hesitation in recommending her. She takes ownership and looks at the bigger picture rather than the narrow assignment, and she came up with several good ideas about how to market and sell our products better. She is meticulously organised, every report was completed on time and to a good level of detail so I got a full picture of what was going on. She is also persistent in getting to the right person for sales calls, and she improved the quality of our database and generated some good leads.

I have been responsible for building my own clients from scratch, using cold calling, telesales, lead generation by telephone, direct mailing and exhibitions. I have experience of writing tenders for the telecomms industry as well as for training contracts.

Managed all of the training both for technical IT where we had to maintain partnerships and were commited to certain paths of training, to business and soft skills to health and safety. Developed training plans, managed all certification, helped win tenders, customised training courses, negotiated pricing with suppliers, and ran all training for customers as well.
