About Me
I work full-time as a freelance writer and copywriter in the travel and tourism industry. I write and edit two major media newsletters for VisitBritain and VisitEngland.
In addition, I have worked on website projects where I was responsible for producing all site content of over 150 pages, and several other content production related to travel, for both offline and online, and I regularly write consumer-facing feature articles.I am an avid blogger, and my travel stories have also been published in national magazines and newspapers.

Work Experience
I have 3 years of travel writing, copywriting and editing experience, both as a staff member with the national tourist board and as a freelancer. I have written the What\'s Hot newsletter for over 2 years since its inception - the trendiest of UK travel/leisure for international media. I have 3 years experience with international journalists, itinerary planning and UK wide travel and leisure knowledge acquired through my time at VisitBritain, VisitEngland and VisitBrighton.
I have extensive knowledge of the tourism industry in UK, as well as Europe and Latin America through my time in living in Guatemala (2 years), Costa Rica (1 year), Germany (3 years) and the United States as I am a native of Chicago. In addition to speaking Spanish and German, I taught languages and translated for 6 years before changing my career to become a writer/copywriter in 2007.
Education
I have a Masters Degree in Media and Culture Studies from the University of Sussex 2007, which is a degree with distinction, graduating 2nd in my class. I have a BA in Spanish teaching obtained in 2001 from the University of Illinois. I also hold a TEFL certificate and have studied Intercultural Business Communication at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany.
