Work Experience
At just 17 I became Pickfords Removals leading Sales Executive for the 60 branch Southern network and only 1 year later became the youngest Assistant Manager in the history of the company.
Within a further 6 months was promoted to Sales Manager and relocated to Dubai and successfully revived this loss making office, exceeding Sales Targets for every 6 month period for the next 4 years.
Moved on to establish a successful advertising agency with little initial resources or experience and built a thriving business over the next 9 years. This grew every fiscal period by developing strong relationships with key blue chip clients such as Heineken, BAT, Marriott Hotels, TNT and 3 Com.
Researched, planned and launched a company that revolutionised the entire Greyhound breeding industry globally. This included lobbying relevant authorities and establishing a global network of exclusive supplier relationships that could be promoted throughout the UK and Ireland. Frozen Semen Insemination is now accepted worldwide as the most successful method of reproduction for Greyhounds.
Moved on and used my unique experience and advanced marketing skills to develop, launch and actively promote a range of powerful Internet based marketing tools for Estate Agents.
These cutting edge systems included the UKs best Virtual Tour Solution, Fully interactive through glass in-window displays, industry leading database driven websites and a highly advanced postcode and map based search engine. The Estate Agents that used these services testified to a significant upturn in their business.
Established a new company to support start up businesses and quickly built a solid relationship with Business Gateway across Scotland to provide best practise foundation support to. This also included researching funding opportunities for Portal Systems itself and the successful negotiation of the largest grant ever given by Scottish Enterprise for web development.
This company developed and evolved into a business providing training and support to a specific market sector, which enabled clients to train in fields related to their existing industry and subsequently develop a strong network of recession proof business relationships because of these additional qualifications.
