I am currently responsible for a variety of design and typesetting projects including updating and designing clients websites. Liaising with clients on a regular basis, reviewing, and advising clients as to the best solutions for promoting, and marketing their businesses.

Usability, accessibility and evaluating websites, whilst presenting new ideas and strategies wherever required using SEO.

I have written and edited copy for a variety of purposes.

I was the companies in-house designer as well as one of the team of DTP operators in a studio of 9. Liaising with both account managers and clients on a regular basis. Retaining briefs to produce design proofs using digital means, ready for client amendments and approval. Photo re-touching and colour correction. Typesetting a varied number of regular publications. Sending files to RIP for CTP litho plates, as well as digital printing.
Attention to detail and speed was some of the key attributes used in this job along with working closely with the operators on the print floor.
Formara Ltd. was awarded BAPC printer of the year 2002.

Marketing Executive 1999-2000

This graphic design training organisation educated 16-18 year olds to NVQ level II and III standard in all main stream design packages. I was responsible for the marketing of all the courses and recruiting of all new students. As a follow on, I helped young students to market themselves in order to find them work placements to run along side their education.

Toy Packaging Designer 1998-1999

Working within a studio environment, I was involved in the production of toy and household packaging design. On approval, the artwork files were sent to China for printing. This position included working to tight deadlines, liaising with management and working closely with the design team.

Freelance Design/Illustration 1991-1998
Portraits of Life
Barleylands Craft Village, Billericay, Essex.
Following a successful loan application to The Princes Trust, I embarked on a business venture using my design and illustration skills.
Varied work included book illustrations, logos, stationary, and many fine art commissions including working for the BBC. I was also commissioned to paint a watercolour portrait of H.R.H The Prince of Wales which now hangs in Kensington Palace, London.
