Writer / journalist / biographer / SEO writer / copywriter

London, United Kingdom

About Me

I am a highly-experienced writer, copywriter and journalist who has written two internationally published books for major publishers. I write for a variety of newspapers and magazines in the UK and the US. I have written for the Guardian, Times, Daily Telegraph, Mail, Express and Financial Times, as well as Coast, Olive, Living Etc, Honda Dream, Virgin Hotline, Vegetarian Living and Bizarre in the UK. I am London editor for Dwell magazine and have also written for Nest and American Craft in the US.

I usually write about arts, travel, architecture, people, eccentricity, architecture, craft, Britain and the British people. I can, however, turn my hand to any subject and have a track record as someone who can become expert in a subject in a very short time. I have written on subjects as diverse as Swiss roofing techniques and the Olympic games. I have appeared on radio and television talking about my work.

In my role as copywriter I have completed assignments for HSBC, Channel 4, Hays Recruitment, Transport for London and the Barbican. My most recent copywriting project has been a major SEO overhaul of a website for an international recruitment company. They have continued to hire me to create new content and work on SEO writing and initiatives I suggested to increase SEO efficiency. I am also an experienced blogger. I have been writing for the web for 15 years and have taught writing for the web, as well as being nominated for European Internet Journalist of the Year.

I deliver clean copy, on time, meaning that you can rest assured that you won't need to send copy back to me for endless re-writes as is the case with less-experienced writers. I have been writing professionally for over 15 years, writing across consumer titles, newspapers B2C and B2B titles. I can work with HTML and am experienced in SEO work for blue chip clients.
