About Me
I have extensive experience as a journalist and PR consultant, with a background in business to business, consumer health, complementary health, charities, manufacturing, management consultancy, wine and much more.
As I ran my own PR agency (Five PR) for over 10 years I handled everything - especially new business, client liaison, strategy for PR and marketing campaigns, as well as day to day account management. I am especially adept at researching for and writing new business proposals, coming up with new ideas, identifying newsworthiness and advising on marketing.
I pride myself on having several careers, mostly related to the media and English. So I can write a commercial website or a brochure for a company, I can handle PR for consumer, business or trade clients, I am good at writing new business proposals for PR campaigns, and I write articles, press releases, and blogs.
I edit and own a health magazine website, for which I write, and handle all the marketing, including digital media and social networking. I have had many articles in national newspapers and magazines, as well as commercial websites. I have written several books including one on stress and one on self-employment.
My copywriting skills include writing website copy, brochures, reports, and much more.

Work Experience
Freelance journalist and PR consultant. I am both a business person and a consumer journalist. As I ran my own PR agency I have extensive experience of working with clients, writing and running new business pitches, liaising with the media and devising marketing strategies.
I am equally at home writing business documents, websites, or articles as I am writing consumer articles. I have been published widely in national newspapers - Daily Express, Times, Guardian, many women's magazines, and have written copy for websites and written charity booklets for Macmillan.
Another string to my bow is that I write and run a large health and wellbeing website, for which I am fully responsible - so all the marketing, writing, research and business side is handled by me, but this does not take up all my time.
I am very versatile with the ability to turn my hand to new clients and projects and quickly understand their requirements and aims.

I was the owner of Five PR, a small agency, providing PR and copywriting to SMEs in a variety of different businesses, including management consultancy, B2B, IT, manufacturing, charities, and health.
