About Me
I have been working as a designer, developer, and editor of language learning materials for (mainly) children for the past 10 years. I have experience in writing scripts for children's shows, regular newsletter articles, conversation pages, articles about cultural differences, and game pages in magazines. Most of my work has been for the English Language Learning market in Asia (I lived in Tokyo for almost 8 years).
I am able to write in a variety of styles: chatty, philosophical, factual, flowery..., but always with a great attention to clarity and accuracy.
I have edited books, web pages, DVD material, interactive learning materials, Q&A type cards, electronic books, and much much more.
I am passionate about writing and helping others to relay the messages they want in whatever style they require.
I can speak Japanese very well. I have a degree in Modern Languages and am able to translate material (esp. children's material) into English from Japanese, French, or German.
I am always interested in projects that introduce me to new fields and I am usually able to adapt my skills accordingly. I look forward to hearing from you!
