About Me
I am a sub-editor with over ten years' experience in print journalism. I run a company called Clean Page Design Limited which offers a remote sub-editing service, charging by the hour. I use Sharefile to transfer documents quickly and securely, work on your documents, and then send them back. All InDesign software is installed locally so I don't need access to anyone's server; all I need are the relevant fonts.
I also offer a website design service, as well as being a competent writer with knowledge in many fields.

Work Experience
Prior to setting up Clean Page Design I worked for more than five years at Emap; first as a writer on Nintendo Official Magazine and then as a sub-editor at Zoo. Before leaving the company in 2006, to relocate to the north west, I held the position of deputy production editor at Zoo. Since moving, I have worked as a sub-editor at Express Newspapers’ stable of magazines (new!, Star, OK!, S and Saturday) and on the daily newspaper itself, as well as working for Haymarket on a number of its sporting titles.

Designing standards-compliant websites for businesses, clubs, societies and individuals. I also offer a remote sub-editing and proofreading service for InDesign documents. You simply send me your InDesign documents using Sharefile (www.sharefile.com - a very quick, secure way to transfer large files) I work on them and then send them back, highlighting any points for your attention. I charge by the hour so you only ever pay for work I have done, not for sitting in your office. All software is installed locally. I don't need access to your servers; I just need the fonts for the documents on which I am working. I have already worked on a number of projects at Haymarket Publishing saving them considerable amounts of money. This is the future of subbing, folks. Get involved.
