About Me
I am an international award-winning print and textile designer, illustrator and printmaker, who has worked as a visual journalist (design director and visual editor for newspapers and magazines) for more than 15 years in the USA. After recently moving to the UK, I've set up my own studio called Cheese + Pickles, where I can teach, design, illustrate and work as a fine art primtmaker in the Japanese art of Gyotaku. My design and illustration strength is producing smart concepts together with clean, elegant, and edgy design. I love work that’´s a bit on the funky side where an unusual graphic or touch of of colour does the trick. I'm a people person and I love helping individuals find and develop their own creative expression, be it in their design work, how they dress or how they decorate their homes. I lead workshops for various companies in creative thinking and conceptual problem-solving as well as brainstorming for groups and one-on-one. Working as a coach and mentor to young designersphotographersillustrators or jump-starting a team of people of all ages and backgrounds who desire to go to the next level is my speciality.
